The past six weeks have been super busy! I'm prepping for an exhibition which is opening on January 5th (at Kube Studios on the Sunshine Coast), as well as organizing American Tapestry Alliance's forthcoming blog tour and I have two Intro to Tapestry weaving workshops coming up. One workshop is in Gibsons in February and the other is in Surrey in March. Check them out.

I have been weaving almost every evening trying to get at least one more big piece off the loom for the show, which means I haven't been getting much knitting done at all.

​Sylvia Olson did a one-month residency at Custom Woolen Mills and has been writing about it on her blog. You have to see how she makes felted yarn

- Stephanie Pearl-McPhee AKA the Yarn Harlot (but you already knew that) wrote about locally dyed yarn Gauge Dyeworks on her blog last week where we learned that Catherine at Gauge is performing yarn miracles! She designed a skein of yarn that creates equal sized stripes on a raglan sweater! My mind is blown. Go see the Yarn Harlot posthere.  AND Catherine announced on Instagram last week that sweater skeins will be on the market soon! Whooot!

- Megan Nodecker of Pip in Pin made a video tutorial about her Afterthought Everything Sock recipe. I other words, she shows us her method for adding heels, cuffs and toes after you've knit up a tube. It's pretty fantastic. She is also hosting an Everything Afterthought Knit Along on her ravelry page.

- Bernadette has left her position at Wet Coast Wools which also means she's no longer co-hosting the Wet Coast Wools podcast. But, she is still in Vancouver and has started her own awesome podcast called the Coffee & Craft podcast! She also just finished the most amazing Christmas sweater.

- Felicia Lo over at Sweetgeorgia started a vlog, too! Go see the recent episode about her time at Knit Social's Sea to Sky retreat.

- According to the Got Craft site there is one remaining craft fair in Vancouver before the holidays...
