**Weaving Workshop for advanced beginner or novice weavers** (more advanced weavers would also benefit)
Qualicum Weavers and Spinners Guild presents- ‘Make Mine a Combo’ with Linda Wilson Online Workshop- This Workshop will allow you to discover how combining various elements of design and colour can result in a woven piece that is both unique and exciting. Linda Wilson, our instructor will guide you through your discovery by examining basic design and principles through a series of yarn exercises. You will experiment with line, shape, focus and dominance to create different weaving results. Next you will use these principles in combination with colour exercises and colour theory to enable you, the weaver to see how balance and repetition can be used to add interest to the woven cloth. Once you have decided on a design for your personal project, you will make your warp and the magic begins on the looms in week 2. In Week 2 students will then apply these principles to a woven project geared to their level and/or the loom available. Pre-requisite – Ability to warp a loom. Each zoom class is offered both during the week and on the weekend Make Mine a Combo will be offered in an online Zoom format with the same class being taught during the week and again on the Saturday of that week.
