I am very excited to announce that my teaching schedule is looking full for the fall, and holy moly it's going to be fun. To begin with, I'd like to invite you to dip your toes into the world of tapestry with me on August 13th at Gibsons Market for Tiny Tapestries, as part of the second annual Art and Words Festival. This is short, 3-hour workshop but we cover a lot. Come ready to learn. It's also the perfect intro to bolster any of the forthcoming full-day classes where we will cover the same stuff and more. Taking my intro classes more than once is never a bad idea. You come a little more prepared (or a lot if you've been practicing) and I can help you work on elevating your craft. On Saturday September 9th join me at Fibre Camp, an affordable fibre retreat located steps from the Langdale Ferry Terminal. Hosted by the Sunshine Coast Spinners' and Weavers' Guild, this is a super special event. I highly recommend bunking with us overnight. There are only a couple spots left in my class. In Vancouver you can find me teaching a full day Weave a Sunset workshop at Knit City on Saturday September 23rd. I will also be hosting a free Tapestry Weaving Party at the SweetGeorgia Lounge on the Sunday, time TBA. In Victoria I will be teaching that same workshop at TLC Fibre Arts on October 7th. I'm very excited to finally be coming to you island folk! All the links I have provided above take you to the places where you can register for each workshop. Please reach out with any questions to [email protected] I look forward to teaching you! Janna Maria
