A guest post from Jenny Faifel of Sweater Freak Knits
Every holiday season, I like to run a little mystery KAL, sometimes it's a hat or a cowlette. This year I came up with something truly special - a cowl that is styled like a shawl but it doesn't have seams (like many other cowls that fit like a shawl do!). It took a bit of tinkering and thinking, but it all worked out at the end just like I envisioned and I am pleased as peach!!!! The first clue drops Dec 6th and the pattern is now on sale for 50% off at 3USD (no code needed!) till then. Get the pattern here and don't forget to visit the MKAL Chat thread to show us the yarn you plan to use! You can find all the details such as yarn info and dates on the pattern page. Also, when you purchase the pattern, you get a 20% off coupon for the yarn pictured above - the very same yarn I used for my sample - naturally dyed Alpaca/Merino mix from Everlea Yarn. The code is valid till Dec 15th. Hope to see you there! Jenny

About the Everlea Guide to Vancouver Yarn Hi, I'm Janna. I'm the proprietor, maker and natural dyer at Everlea Looms. I am a tapestry weaver, longtime knitter and 2013 graduate of Concordia University's Fibres and Material Practices program. In 2008 I created Vancouver Yarn as a space to hold as much of the textile awesomeness that I could find in and around Vancouver. Here on the VY blog I mostly share about local events. It soon grew to include all the places you can shop for yarny things online in Canada. Do you have an event you'd like me to post? Simply email me at janna (at) everleayarn.ca Thank you, Janna
