8/29/2010 Keeping track of the blogs you love.I use Google Reader to do this. Since I follow about 40 blogs it really helps that Google Reader organizes them all, lets me know when they've been updated and shows all the updated posts in the same window so that I don't need to open new windows and wait for the blog and pictures to load. I like to think of it as my own custom online magazine.
If you already have a Gmail account it's super easy (if you don't that too is super easy): For blogs that are hosted by Blogger its as easy as clicking on 'follow' on the upper right hand side of the blog (make sure you're signed in). Follow any blog by pressing the rss icon found at the right side of the url address bar. Then when it prompts you to subscribe using Google accept, and then click Google Reader. Any blog or website that you've added this way will show up on your Reader page. Some bloggers (like us) have put the rss button on the side bar of the blog too. So if you're ready to get started you might as well begin with the local yarn shop blogs. Here are their links, follow away.
