Congratulations to Felicia and the SweetGeorgia team on their 17th anniversary! SweetGeorgia has been a touchstone in hand-dyed yarn from the beginning - when Felicia was in the midst of leaving her career as a pharmacist. I remember when she took a year off to gather herself while the Greater Vancouver community (im)patiently waited for her return. We're so glad she did return - she has been offering exceptional products and services since.
Another memory that comes to mind is my visit to a Montreal yarn shop which carried SweetGeorgia Yarns, and the shop owner recollected her first phone conversations with Felicia. She explained to me that she had asked Felicia what her policy is for if/when she receives yarn that has streaks or spots of unwanted colour in them, and Felicia's response was something along the lines of, "why would I ever send you a defective product?". That was 8 years before I launched my own business, and I've used that same customer service standard with Everlea Yarn. I've since worked with Felicia as the tapestry instructor at the School of SweetGeorgia, her fantastic online fibre arts school. It's been a dream gig. Celebrate SweetGeorgia's 17th anniversary in her upcoming Taking Back Friday livestream:
